Kimberly’s artistic works balance whimsy with architectural rigor, testing materials, technology and scale through the use of semi-permanent installations. She is particularly interested in re-examining and re-conceiving traditional and mono-functional design typologies within cities as multi-functional platforms for engagement. Kimberly’s recent work has been focused on injecting play and whimsy into Sacramento’s urban fabric through temporary installations that highlight local issues that elicit community engagement.
